The refurbishment of Narrowboat Tasmin.
Welcome, to the blog charting the journey of narrowboat Tasmin. Tasmin is a 46 ft, 1994 narrowboat. We have previously had narrowboats. Our first was a Findlay Shakespeare narrowboat of Nottingham,59ft which we designed and lived on for 3 years. Our second was a J & D Narrowboat called Majesty, 50 ft, which we refurbished as a shop. Both of these boats we have since sold and last year, bought Tasmin. Over Spring and Summer of 2020, we have stripped out the galley and the living area and the bathroom. We were moored in a marina for the first year but then managed to find an online mooring which was near to home. The plan now is to work on the inside of the boat throughout the winter. We have sanded the woodwork in the living area and the kitchen back before leaving the marina.
